Release 10.1A: OpenEdge Development:
Debugging and Troubleshooting

4GLMessages logging

Specifying the 4GLMessages log entry type causes OpenEdge to write all 4GL VIEW-AS ALERT-BOX messages to the log file. If the -debugalert startup parameter is used, the 4GL stack is also written to the log file at the time of the message. Information is logged at Level 2 (Basic) and higher.

Note: You do NOT need to turn on 4GLMessages logging to have the messages logged on the AppServer or for WebSpeed.

Log entries generated for this type contain the tag 4GLMESSAGE.
